Terms of Service

Last updated July 21, 2026

These terms cover your use of this website. They do not govern the Crystal node or protocol software, which is open source and licensed separately under the MIT License.

Scope

This document applies to the Crystal Labs, Inc. website at xtal.network and its pages. By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please don't use the site.

The software is licensed separately

Nothing here restricts your rights to the Crystal source code. The node and protocol software are released under the MIT License, and your use, modification, and redistribution of that code is governed solely by the license accompanying it in the source repository. Where these terms and that license appear to conflict with respect to the software, the license controls.

Network data is informational

The network pages display data read live from a public Crystal node. That data is provided for information only, and we make no promises about it:

  • It may be delayed, incomplete, out of order, or temporarily unavailable.
  • It reflects the view of a single node, which may lag or diverge from the wider network.
  • It must not be relied on for financial, trading, accounting, or legal decisions.

Nothing on this website is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. If you need any of those, consult a qualified professional.

No offer of securities

Nothing on this website constitutes an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, XTAL or any other asset, nor does it constitute an investment recommendation. Descriptions of mining, staking, and rewards explain how the protocol operates — they are not a promise of profit or of any particular return.

You are responsible for your own keys and funds

Crystal is a decentralized network. We do not hold your keys, control your funds, or operate the network on your behalf, and we cannot reverse, cancel, or recover a transaction. Losing a private key means losing access to the associated funds permanently. Running a node, mining, staking, and deploying contracts are all done at your own risk.

Availability

We provide no guarantee that this website, the network pages, any node, or the Crystal network itself will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice.

Third-party links

The site links to third-party resources including GitHub, Discord, X, Telegram, our documentation, and the Formspree form processor. We don't control those services and aren't responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Disclaimer of warranty

This website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Crystal Labs, Inc. and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or digital assets, arising out of or connected with your use of this website or the Crystal network.

Intellectual property

The Crystal Labs, Inc. name, logo, and the written content and design of this website belong to Crystal Labs, Inc. The software itself is separately licensed as described above. You may quote and link to this site with attribution.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. Revisions take effect when posted here, and the date at the top of this page will be updated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
